FP Youngs Transport Ltd was established in 1967 and has grown surely & steadily ever since.
Throughout the years we have listened to our customers and tailored our services to meet their requirements. This has, on occasions, meant considerable directional changes within our organisation.
Having begun as a UK distribution operation, we moved into ISO container haulage in the early 1970’s. The introduction of articulated vehicles and trailers into our fleet meant the next natural progression was into Europe predominantly as a full load specialist.
In order to continue both growth and stability, another distribution company was acquired in 1984. With this injection of equipment and staff, we were able to extend our services significantly in the UK including purpose built warehousing facilities and the carriage of dangerous goods.
Following encouragement and support from our extensive number of international customers, a separate, specialist company, YTL, was formed in 1992, to satisfy freight forwarding requirements and has also enjoyed extensive growth year on year. We can now offer groupage, part, and full load services throughout Western Europe.
With the beginning of a new millennium came the acquisition of a European full load specialist company enabling us to ensure we can meet every customers needs. Our vast flexible fleet of over 100 vehicles incorporating Express vans, 7.5 tonne, 17.5 tonne, 32.5 tonne, 38 tonne and 40 tonne vehicles means that we are able to satisfy most enquiries. From a carton to a full load of up to 120 cubic metres. Our customers’ cargo is carried on our vehicles under our control - A Seamless Service!
